Introduction
ELGS1000 performs calculations of tank levels and drafts based on continuously on-line measured hydrostatic pressure,considering all various parameters affecting the correct levels and drafts such as fluid density, pipe resistance,atmospheric pressure etc.
ELGS1000 using the electro-pneumatic principle "bubble measuring" has always been known as a very robust and reliable Method.
ELGS1000 system has continuously been developed and up-graded to meet with all recent requirements regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The enclosure now complies with tightness requirements for IP54.We have combined the latest and best sensors in order to produce an electro-pneumatic system that combines low cost and high performance together.

Integrated sensor and control unit -- SIP08:
The integrated sensor and control unit (ISCU)---SIP08 is the heart of the ELGS1000, the ISCU is made to suit electro-pneumatic tank and draught gauging.
Integrated sensor:
The sensor, made of single IC, covers the whole measuring range from 0-35 m. All sensors are interchangeable with each other. The sensors have excellent repeatability, very small hysteresis, absolutely low temperature dependence and excellent long term stability with outstanding overpressure capability. Each pressure sensor has been calibrated for non-linearity and temperature shift in order to provide optimal performance.
All sensors are in cabinets which typically located in the engine control room, cargo control room or other locations.
Pressure Transmitter & Analog I/O Module:
And SIP08 acquire sensor signal and send this signal to computer, digital meter and other device. SIP08 is using FPGA technology and make real-time control robust and flexible. Main features are below: 8 pressure input channel (integrated sensor)
8 analog input channel (4- 20 mA) or 8 output channel (24 VDC)

Cabinet:
All components are mounted in a power coated steel cabinet which was ready to connect with main air supply, electric power and pipe of individual tanks or draughts.
Communication Port
Level or Pressure data is available on two serial outputs RS-485 using Modbus protocal. Jumho also provide a widely Modbus I/O which including valve control module, analog input module, analog output module and Digital IO module. Customer can easily integrate ELGS system with other Modbus device.
Adaptive level gauging
This intelligent system automatically senses and compares measured levels making system adaptive. The tank filling speed does not have an effect on the level measurement because more air is given when the level in the tank increases.
Calibration
In addition to the high accuracy and reliability, customers can calibrate system per year using external calibrator. It dramatically improves the accuracy of the level measurement.
ELGS1000 software driver
ELGS1000 uses one of the RS-485 serial communication ports to communicate with the computer. The driver software provides a driver level interface and integrated with C, VB, .net and LabVIEW. The driver provides you configure the entire system, including communication parameters, module and I/O setting, and different level parameters. You can also view input data values and setting output values. |
